This 5-day short gorilla safari in Uganda is perfect for travelers who have limited time or are adding a safari in Kenya, Tanzania, or South Africa to their trip. It is an unforgettable adventure in a quiet, beautiful part of Uganda.
Your journey begins in Entebbe, where a small plane flies you over the green hills of southwestern Uganda to a luxury forest lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. You will stay for three nights in a comfortable forest cottage with amazing views of the Virunga Volcanoes, the Rift Valley, and the thick forest below.
On the second day, you will hike into the jungle with expert guides to find a family of mountain gorillas. You will spend one magical hour watching them up close in their natural home.
During the trip, you will also walk through local villages, farms, and terraced hillsides. You will meet the Batwa community and learn about their traditional forest life, including their stories, music, hunting skills, and how they once lived in the gorilla forests.
