Tour Overview
Our 16-day safari takes you through the best wildlife and cultural experiences in Rwanda and Uganda. Your journey starts in Kigali, where you will explore the city and visit the moving Genocide Memorial Center.
Next, you travel to Volcanoes National Park to visit the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and go tracking for the rare golden monkeys. From here, you cross into Uganda and enter the thick jungles of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the famous mountain gorillas. You will enjoy an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure and other activities around the forest.
You then walk from Nkuringo to Buhoma, a beautiful 10-km nature trail through the rainforest. After the hike, you continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park for amazing wildlife viewing, including a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel and a classic game drive. Your journey continues to Kibale Forest, the best place in Africa to see chimpanzees. You will trek chimps and take a swamp walk filled with monkeys and colorful birds.
Next, you head to Murchison Falls National Park, where you enjoy more game drives, a stunning boat cruise to the bottom of the powerful Murchison Falls and track wild white rhinos on foot in the near Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch. The trip ends in Entebbe with a boat tour in Mabamba Swamp to look for the rare shoebill stork, followed by a relaxing sunset cruise on Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake.
